Andrew Giangola, Director of NASCAR Business Communications, “Professor for a Day” at Nassau Community College, March 11
Garden City, NY - On Thursday, March 11, Andrew Giangola, Director of NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) Business Communications, will be “Professor for a Day” at Nassau Community College. Giangola will speak to NCC students about the growth and evolution of NASCAR, a $3 billion industry. The presentation, which is open to NCC marketing students only, will take place in Room 218 of Building B at 11:30 a.m.
The “Professor for a Day” series at Nassau Community College was instituted in 1980 by Professor Jack K. Mandel of the Marketing Department. The program is an opportunity for prominent business leaders to share their experience and expertise with NCC students.
Since 2003, Andrew Giangola has been Director of Business Communications for NASCAR. Prior to holding that position, he led global media communications for McKinsey & Company, the world's leading management consulting firm. Giangola also served as vice president of corporate communications for Simon & Schuster.
Giangola, who grew up in Valley Stream and graduated from Fordham University, was named by PR Week as one of the Top 10 Communicators in sports. He is author of the recent book The Weekend Starts on Wednesday: True Stories of Remarkable NASCAR Fans.
