ADMISSIONS EXPRESS TO YOUR DEGREE
If you wish to be a DEGREE SEEKING student, bring the following information with you, speak personally with an admissions counselor, and leave with a plan for your future at Nassau.
FRESHMEN: Bring your official high school transcript in a sealed envelope. SAT or ACT scores if available (not required).
TRANSFERS: Bring official copies of your college transcript(s) in sealed envelope(s). Official high school record in a sealed envelope (not needed if you have a college degree).
TAKE COURSES AS A NON-DEGREE STUDENT
If you wish to take courses but not be enrolled in a degree or certificate program at this time, take the non-degree route. Submit an application and be ready to register for classes in one of our summer sessions and/or the fall semester. Please bring in proof of HS graduation or HS equivalency for this option.
ALL DEGREE AND NON-DEGREE APPLICANTS:
The $50 application fee may be paid by check or money order, payable to Nassau Community College. Credit cards can also be used.
If you cannot supply the above documents, you may meet with one of our admissions counselors who will review our programs and the admissions process with you.
REMINDERS FOR DEGREE STUDENTS –
New York State requires students who register for six or more credits to submit proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and the meningitis survey. Go to www.ncc.edu/healthservices to access necessary forms.
Most students are required to take the College's placement test in one or more areas if they are applying for a degree program. Information on the test will be available to you. Learn more at http://www.ncc.edu/admissions/placementtesting
