As a result of your grades from the previous semester, you are placed on Academic Probation and are in danger of being academically dismissed at the end of the spring semester. Your academic status is currently D-Probation, which means that you have not earned the minimum grade point average of a 2.00 to be in good standing. This is a serious matter that requires time to discuss possible causes and possible solutions to your current academic situation. Therefore a power point presentation has been developed to help you find some solutions.
Nassau Community College places great importance on helping our students achieve success. Please review the power point presentation on Academic Probation and complete the survey at the end of the presentation. It is important that you complete the survey so we know that you participated in this online workshop.
After viewing the presentation, if you have further questions, please contact the CERC office. You have been assigned a counselor that can meet with you to discuss the strategies discussed in the workshop and assist you with selecting the courses that can help you improve your academic performance to stay in college and graduate.
Your assigned counselor has been identified on the last slide of the power point presentation. Please refer to that slide for contact information. You can make an appointment with your CERC Counselor by going to Nassau Hall (Bldg. M), Room 19, or calling 516.572.7141 Ext. "0" to make the appointment.
Click on the link below for the Retention Strategy Online Workshop presentation. Please view the power point in "Slide Show" in order to get the full presentation. Remember to fill out the survey at the end of the power point presentation. You will not be able to access the survey unless you are in "Slide Show" format.
