The Nursing Department offers a curriculum, accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC*), leading to an Associate in Science Degree and eligibility for the National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurse.
The goal of our program is to prepare pre-licensed RN students to practice safe and competent patient-centered nursing care in a variety of health settings, to optimize human health and wellness potential across the life span, within a rapidly changing health care system.
It is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills that are essential in meeting the health care needs of a diverse population within our community, and to inspire in the student a sense of integrity, commitment and competence.
Throughout the program, students' competencies will grow incrementally in the attainment and utilization of nursing knowledge, critical thinking, clinical reasoning, communication, managerial, leadership and technological skills essential to their role within the profession and the health care team.
