Keith Detelj takes over head coaching duties after serving as the assistant coach for the 2011 season. Since 2008, Detelj has been coaching throughout the youth programs on Long Island including HBC, Sound Beach, Rocky Point, Oyster Bay, Kings Park, East Islip and Long Island Rough Riders. He has also worked for the Beasley National Soccer School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Prior to NCC, Detelj graduated from Connetqout High School in 2003 where he was a four year varsity starter earning All County, All Division, All State and Second Team All Region honors. Detelj is second all time in Suffolk County for scoring (38) goals in a single season and 15th all time in career goals with (53). Detelj also played three years varsity in basketball and lacrosse.
Detelj then went on to play four years Division I soccer and lacrosse for Marist College. Career stats: Leading Division I scorer at Marist with 89 points (3rd overall)...Is the leading Division I goal scorer with 36 goals (2nd overall)...In Division I assists, he stands third all time with 17 (6th overall) for Marist.
After a successful career at Marist College Detelj went on to play in the PDL from (2009-2011) with the Fort Wayne Fever, Westchester Flames, and presently the Long Island Rough Riders.
