NCC Alert System
Nassau Community College has partnered with Rave Mobile Safety to provide members of the campus community with a quick and efficient means of receiving emergency notifications. This system is called NCCAlert. NCCAlert will allow you to quickly receive emergency communications and other important announcements via text, e-mail and voice message.
As a current employee or registered student you are automatically enrolled in this new system. Any student, staff, or faculty member of Nassau Community College can subscribe to the NCCAlert service. NCC urges all students, faculty and staff to login and update their account information.
Students, Faculty and Staff can manage their account by visiting myncc.ncc.edu. Click on the NCCAlert icon located in the Launch Pad of the Portal for access.

What is NCCAlert?
NCCAlert is an emergency notification system capable of sending users important announcements quickly via text messages, email and voice messages.
Who can use the service?
Any student, staff, or faculty member of Nassau Community College can use the NCCAlert service.
How do I sign up for NCCAlert and what is my username and password?
Students , Faculty and Staff can manage their account by visiting the MyNCC Portal at myncc.ncc.edu. Click on the NCCAlert icon located in the LaunchPad section of the Portal.
What mobile phone carriers are supported?
All U.S. mobile carriers are supported.
What if my cell phone number changes?
If your mobile number ever changes, please login to the MyNCC Portal and update your contact details through NCCAlert icon which is located in the LaunchPad section.
What if my cell phone provider changes?
If you keep the same mobile number, and simply change cell phone provider, you do not have to change anything however it may take several weeks for your mobile provider to update the Rave Alert system. During that time it is possible that you will not be able to receive messages unless you login to update your carrier information.
Will I receive advertisements or text messaging SPAM?
No, never. We respect your privacy and you will never receive anything besides official Nassau Community College communications.
What does the NCCAlert service cost?
NCCAlert does not charge students, faculty or staff for sending or receiving messages. However, standard or other messaging charges may apply depending upon your wireless carrier plan and subscription details.
How will I identify incoming messages from NCCAlert?
You will be sent messages from what are known as short codes. The messages will come from 67283 and 226787. We encourage you to save these numbers into your phone so you will recognize them when messages are sent. Some smaller carriers do not support short code messaging. For these carriers, you will receive messages from @getrave.com.
How do I stop getting messages?
To stop getting messages, you may login to the MyNCC Portal by visiting myncc.ncc.edu and remove your number, or text the word, "STOP" to 67283 and 226787 via NCCAlert.
I already have contact information in NCCAlert. Where did this data come from?
Nassau Community College pre-populated NCCAlert with NCC e-mails. Also, any information in NY Alert has been converted to the NCCAlert system.
